Free check: is your parish already in our catalog
Send a surname and the village or town your family came from. If you only know the oblast, write that, and we will tell you how to find the village. We check our catalog and our memory of where we have already searched, and reply by email.
What the answer covers
- Whether the parish registers survive for the years you need.
- Whether we have already searched that area, and what came of it.
The answer is free and does not commit you to anything: it is not the search and does not replace it. If the check says yes, the next step, the €19 search, names the exact archive, fond, opys and sprava (collection, inventory and file).
Request the check
A surname and a village or town are enough; if you only know the oblast, write that. We reply by email within 2 business days on where to start.
Received. The answer will come by email.

If the form does not work, write in your own words to pytannia@rodovidarchive.com: the surname, what you know about the place, approximate years.
